Noirefontaine is a village on the main road N89, which connects Menuchenet with Bouillon, a few kilometers north of the latter city. It has a castle that used to serve as a summer residence for the abbot of Stavelot, but is now in a state of decay. By the way, some things in the village center are quite dilapidated.
However, the walking opportunities in Noirefontaine are virtually unlimited, including routes to the nearby Semois valley. However, there is quite a bit of climbing and descending, so 'characterful' walking circuits.
