Rahier is een klein dorp in de prachtige hoek die gevormd wordt door de Amblève en haar zijrivier de Lienne. Rahier is administratief een deel van Stoumont. Meer dan de helft van zijn oppervlakte is bedekt met bos, namelijk 761 van de 1436 ha. Je kunt Rahier gemakkelijk bereiken via de A26/E25, Luik-Bastenaken. Je verlaat die autoweg bij afrit 48, Werbomont, en je volgt de N66, richting Trois-Ponts. Na ongeveer 9 km kun je linksaf en bereik je, via het gehucht Froidville, iets verderop het centrum van Rahier.
