Ruien is a village in the Belgian province of East Flanders and a part of the municipality of Kluisbergen. Ruien is located in the southwest of the province, along the Scheldt, near the language border and the border with West Flanders.
Within the territory of Ruien lies the largest part of the Kluisbos, located on the Kluisberg. Along the Scheldt, there was a power plant operated by Electrabel.
