On the gabled entrance gate, the year 1671 is engraved. Above the basket-arch entrance, a statue of Mary stands out. We walk onto the picturesque, large courtyard. Typical is the long building with one-story stables. The large barn was destroyed by a fire at the end of the 19th century. The remaining medieval pigeon tower testifies to the power of the abbey, which also had ownership rights over the air. The beam-shaped structure has undergone several renovations. For instance, the Germans added firing openings during World War II. At the back of the house, the facade displays the coat of arms of Karel Gheleyns, who died in 1677 and was the presumed builder of the farm. A restaurant and halls for seminars and conferences are now located in the remaining complex.
