Here once stood 2 mills. The Borstmolen dates back to 1630 and was a grain watermill. In 1877, a steam engine was installed. Milling activities ceased in the Bostmolen in 1966. Today, the mill is set up as a tavern, but the wheel mechanism is still present. Outside, you can view the wheel and the welm behind the mill. On the beams by the brook, the year 1785 is inscribed on a bricked sandstone.
On the other side of the mill once stood a second watermill. It produced oil. However, the mill was taken out of use in 1933 and was demolished a few years later. Subsequently, another building was erected, now Taverne het ‘Brugske’. The diversion brook to the former mill was filled in, and the brugske was bricked over.
