Stedelijk Museum Hoogstraten

Anyone who is curious about the fascinating history of Hoogstraten can visit the Stedelijk Museum Hoogstraten. It is located in houses 9 to 11 of the beguinage. The permanent museum set-up takes you from more recent history, through lords and beguines, to prehistory. A reconstructed Stone Age encampment site introduces you to the earliest habitation. In addition, the museum organizes four interesting occasional exhibitions every year, each with Hoogstraten as a starting point. A guided tour is possible at each exhibition. There is a separate educational offer for schools, both for pre-school, primary and secondary education. In this way, the history of Hoogstraten becomes 'child's play'.
