The house at Bredestraat 81 of Wanzelenaar Edwig Bonnarens was used in the film "The Misery of Things".
In the film, this is the house of Meetje, the grandmother of thirteen-year-old Gunther. Meetje's house quickly becomes the dirtiest place in Reetveerdegem.
The owner said the following in the Nieuwsblad: "They put a pseudo rickety concrete slab fence over the wire fence that is indistinguishable from a real one. The interior was transformed into a filthy mess, including customized wallpaper and nicotine stains on the ceiling. The exterior facade was also addressed."
