The Heirbaan in Meise (Oppem) is an ancient Roman road located on one of the foothills of the Brabant hills. On the heirbaan lies a former transmission station, Radio Conférence. This is the oldest free radio station in Belgium, established in 1935 for the World Expo in Brussels. This transmitter was used for a few years by the Germans as a jamming station for London. Today, the heirbaan offers a unique view of the Atomium and Brussels in general. The last scene of the delightful Cancas program Tourné Générale was filmed at this beautiful location. Here, Jean Blaute and Ray drank their own beer.
