Tussen fietsknooppunten 63 en 20 op de hoek van de Schoolstraat en Diepestraat staat de Kruiskoutermolen. Deze driezolder werd in 2004, na meer dan 25 jaar verval, gerestaureerd en laat sinds 2006 opnieuw zijn wieken draaien. De molen gaat terug op een vroegere staakmolen die te Nieuwerkerken stond. De laatste beroepsmolenaar bracht de molen rond 1920 over naar Mere.
De molen beschikt over een kombuis en een extra zolder waarin zich naast een buil ook een kuismolen bevindt. De molen kan bezocht worden op aanvraag, of wanneer de wieken draaien, en een van de molenaars aanwezig is.
