The Mevrouwmolen is a windmill located in the place of Kanegem, which belongs to the municipality of Tielt in West Flanders, at Mevrouwmolenstraat 2.
In the mid-17th century, there was a grain mill of the type post mill here. It was owned by the lord of the lordship of Hames. In 1736, a new post mill was built. In 1836, this was placed on a tower base, allowing the mill to also operate as an oil mill. In 1843, the mill was destroyed by fire. A stone mill was then built. Initially, it served as both a grain and oil mill, but in 1894 the oil part was removed. A steam engine was also installed, and in 1930 it was replaced by an electric motor. In 1954, wind operations ceased, and milling by wind occurred only occasionally. The mill fell into disrepair, and by 1970 it was in poor condition. A few subsequent owners carried out external restorations, and in 2008 a definitive restoration began. However, financial resources were scarce, but after receiving a grant, work could continue from 2016 to 2018.
