At the beginning of the 20th century, there were five cinemas in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek within a radius of one hundred meters, accommodating five thousand people. The original facade of Cinema Forum from 1921 has been preserved. The cinema was built in 1921 by architect E. Poupko. The maximum number of available seats was 1,425 in 1967. The interior had nearly the allure of a neighborhood theater, including a few boxes. Columns adorned the ground floor. The cinema "Forum" closed its doors permanently in 1975 and is currently occupied by a clothing store. The granite staircase leading to the balcony still exists. The imposing facade refers to the architecture of the interwar period and is in line with the architecture that was previously common for film halls. This is evident, for example, in the horizontal character, the expansive extent of the facade, and the presence of the balcony, which lends a certain severity to the whole. The building was protected in 1997.
