It used to be across the street. Even then it belonged to the monastery - a donation from Abbé Poulet - but due to its disuse, it was entrusted to the Mertens-Coen family. They were also allowed to demolish it provided they built a new chapel in the garden of the monastery. Mr. Mertens honored the agreement, and Pastor De Blieck was able to consecrate the new chapel on October 9, 1938. St. Anna, the mother of St. Virgin Mary, was once worshipped by future mothers to beg for a good delivery.
