The Boelarebos is a hillside in a Natura 2000 nature reserve that is recognized by Europe. Under the Hoge Buizemont, there are four springs that feed three spring streams flowing along the forest to the Gaverbeek and the Dender. The middle path through the forest is often used by cycling tourists. The road has been significantly affected by tree roots, and over a large distance of 600 meters, the climb rises on average by 9%.
