It is not the highest point in Belgium, but it is not far off. With its 647 meters, Baraque de Fraiture is the 2nd highest peak in the country.
It makes sense that you have to climb to reach the point. After the descent to Manhay, a long, gradual, and wide ascent begins. It never gets super steep, but that doesn't make it any less annoying.
Towards the end, the road does steepen a bit, and once at the top, it turns out the whole climb is also a viaduct!
