Behind the church lies a gently descending road between the fields that leads to 't Goed te Corbie, one of the large historical farms in the West Flemish Scheldt area. Here was the center of the eponymous lordship, belonging to the renowned monastic community of Corbie-on-the-Somme (Picardy). The farm has retained its medieval appearance: the various buildings are arranged around an inner courtyard and are surrounded by a 10 to 15 meter wide water moat. 't Goed te Corbie has since grown into an important arable farming operation of about 100 hectares.
