"Tales from the good old times... Stories about water devils and German shepherds, about witches and the gang of Bakelandt. Stories about white and black arts... Tough, even very tough stories... And all the truth about what happened... here in Langemark-Poelkapelle"

The route follows a quiet cycling path on the provincial cycling network, passes through the 5 villages (Langemark, Poelkapelle, Bikschote, Sint-Juliaan, Madonna) of the municipality of Langemark-Poelkapelle and forms two loops that together amount to about 37 km. Along the way, you will encounter 15 beautifully illustrated 'story poles'.
In the neighboring municipality of Zonnebeke, specifically in the witches' village of Beselare, there is a 16th pole that marks the starting point of the witches' walk.

With a simple push of a button, you can hear authentic folk tales, interpreted by experienced storytellers. There are two versions: one in the juicy local dialect and one in 'Standard Dutch'.
