In the Koekelare Forest, there is an eight-hectare arboretum. The forest contains numerous monumental trees. Many species of trees and shrubs are cultivated there. Some Koekelare pines are already 126 years old! The Koekelare Forest has a 4.5 km walking path and is freely accessible to walkers.
Next to the forest, there is a large playground for the very young and slightly older children.
