The 17th century landscapes room
“The room dedicated to landscapes and genre paintings from the 17th century has reopened.
We want the visitors to be able to look at the pictures from a distance and up close, alone or together as a whole. These landscapes, grouped in that manner, are a splendid tribute to nature.
Taken one by one, they are more about the fascination of the anecdotic, and some of the breadth of these works, which are like a journey for the eye, is lost. We needed a room which lent them their entire splendor."
