Large prehistoric sites open to the public are rare and among these, the Scladina Cave is a unique case! Archaeologists work there on a daily basis. Under their guidance, you will enter the heart of the deposit. You will discover all the tricks of a profession of patience and passion. They will share with you the discoveries and studies made on the Sclayn's Child, a young Neanderthal who was 8 years and 17 days old at the time of his death about 100,000 years ago. Visiting Scladina is an exceptional opportunity to observe a working excavation site!

If you are a teacher or leader of a group of children, the following activities are available for you at the Scladina Cave:

visit to the Scladina Cave, the permanent excavation site,

handling of prehistoric remains at Labo'Junior,

visit to the museum space dedicated to "The Child of Sclayn, I was 10 years old a thousand centuries ago",

and the brand new activity: the "Prehisto-Quiz" – A dynamic and playful approach with scrupulous respect for scientific information in the unique and fascinating setting of an authentic prehistoric cave.

In concrete terms, compose your program among our 4 activities (taken separately or cumulatively) by planning ± 1h15 and 2 euros/children and per activity.
