The Groenhagemolen is the last mill in Kamerlings Ambacht. That is one of the reasons why it was also protected as a monument. The surroundings of the mill are simultaneously protected as a village view. In this way, the entire estate will be preserved for the future, including the cobblestone path that is lined with cart tracks. The Groenhagemolen was built in 1871, as we can read on a year stone on the facade, along with the name of the miller: Louis Devos. Already in 1897, the mill came into the hands of the Rommel family, who would remain owners for over 125 years, which is why the mill is often referred to as the Rommelmolen.
