Komen is a town in the Belgian province of Hainaut, and a part of the municipality of Komen-Waasten since 1977. Like the other boroughs of the Komen-Waasten exclave, Komen belonged to the Flemish province of West Flanders until 1963.
Just like Waasten, Komen is located along the river Leie, whose old bed forms the border with France. On the other side of the Lys is the eponymous French commune of Komen.
