Bonsin is a village in the Belgian province of Namur and a district of Somme-Leuze. In Bonsin lies also the village of Chardeneux. At the end of the ancien régime, Bonsin became a municipality. The municipality was enlarged in 1811 by the addition of the dissolved municipalities of Borlon and Chardeneux. Bonsin moved in 1819 from the district of Marche-en-Famenne to the district of Dinant. Afterwards, Bonsin was again separated as an independent municipality and became part of the district of Marche-en-Famenne again. Due to the annexation to Somme-Leuze in 1977, it definitively came to lie in the province of Namur.
