Voormezele Abbey is a former abbey in voormezele, West Flanders.
The abbey was founded in 1068 by Lord Isaac van Voormezele. It was a provostship: a college of secular canons. In 1100 it was transformed into an Augustinian abbey by Jan I van Waasten, bishop of Terwaan. Count Charles the Good donated a vast area, the Sadalt, to the abbey in 1119. The monks mined this area and founded a chapel dedicated to Sint-Elooi, where the town of Sint-Elooi is now located.
