Voroux-lez-Liers

Voroux-lez-Liers, or simply Voroux, is a village in the Belgian province of Liège and a district of the municipality of Juprelle. It was an independent municipality until it was merged into the municipality of Juprelle in the 1977 amalgamation. Voroux-lez-Liers is located in Dry Haspengouw in the south of the municipality of Juprelle. The village center lies along the road from Fexhe-Slins to Ans and connects to the built-up core of Rocourt, a district of the city of Liège. In the west of the district, the road from Tongeren to Liège runs. Voroux-lez-Liers is only 7 kilometers from Liège. Due to its location, it has developed into a residential village on the outskirts of the Liège agglomeration, with only some agricultural activity remaining in the north. The village is close to major highways, and several high-voltage lines cross its territory. At the beginning of the 21st century, the village is rapidly expanding.
