Eindhout is a village in the municipality of Laakdal, in the Belgian province of Antwerp. Eindhout was an independent municipality until the municipal reorganization of 1977.Part of Eindhout belonged to the Land of Geel and this seigneury was successively owned by the families Berthout, Horne, De Merode, van Wittem-van den Berg, van Lorraine and de Rohan. In 1252, the Berthout family ceded the right of patronage and tithe of the church to the Abbey of Averbode.
