Avin is a village in the Belgian province of Liège and a district of the city of Hannuit. It was an independent municipality until it was added to the municipality of Hannuit during the merger in 1977.
Avin is located in the south of the municipality of Hannuit. The Mehaigne forms the northern border of the district. The village center is located to the west of the N80, the road from Hannuit to Namur that runs through the territory of the district and forms the northeastern border. Avin is an agricultural village in Droog-Haspengouw that has gradually developed into a residential village due to its location. There is mainly arable farming and livestock farming. To the east of the village center of Avin lies the hamlet of Atrive, which is separated from it by the small river Mohéry.
