In Schore, the parish church is dedicated to Our Lady, not an exception in Kamerlings Ambacht: the churches of Leffinge, Lombardsijde, and Mannekensvere were also dedicated to her. The current church is a reconstruction by architect Theo Raison from 1922. The older church was actually destroyed during World War I. Surrounding the church is the walled cemetery, and behind the church is a wooden Marian chapel, where the statue of Mary with Child stands on a masonry pedestal under a Gothic, three-lobed canopy.
Notably, the Our Lady's Church in Schore features a heavy, brick spire that crowns the church tower. For this, the architect likely drew inspiration from the Our Lady's Church in Bruges, where we also find the four smaller corner towers. In 1996, the church was damaged by a fire, and since then it has been restored.
