The Bouvelobos is a nature reserve in East Flanders on the edge of the Flemish Ardennes in Wortegem-Petegem. The forest is part of the Flemish Ecological Network and is protected at European level as part of the Natura 2000 site Forests of the Flemish Ardennes and other South Flemish forests. It is mainly a beech forest that is not freely accessible. The Bouvelobos used to be part of one large forest area with the Oud-Moregem forests. In the 18th century, gangs of robbers hid there, including that of Jan de Lichte. In the Bouvelo forest, wild hyacinth, woodland herb, duckberry, wood anemone, valley herb, among others, bloom. Wood ant, acorn mouse, hazel worm live there.
