In the vicinity of the Ooidonk castle and by the old Leie arm (Vosselare Put), a number of meadows have been designated as nature reserves. If you visit in winter, armed with your binoculars, you will certainly not be disappointed. Look for waterfowl on the old Leie arms and be sure to check the trees for buzzards or sparrowhawks. But above all, enjoy the tranquil surroundings, far from all human influences, unique in the Leie valley.
