The monumental speaking tube at the intersection of Stalingradlaan and Zuidlaan. Many social and political demonstrations start here. The artwork is by the Spanish artist Emilio López-Menchero. It is a tribute to all emigrants. Pasionaria was established here in 2006 to commemorate 40 years of Moroccan presence. The giant horn symbolizes the mouthpiece of free speech. It is also a nod to the Spanish politician Dolores Ibárruri. This communist leader was called 'La Pasionaria' because of the passionate speeches she gave during the Spanish Civil War.
