Zennemeanders appear on the right side of the E19.
On the right bank of the Senne ran the original GR128. In Eppegem it came to the right bank (Buurtweg 4), it followed the Senne until after the next meander on the photo (Buurtweg 5), after which it went to the Vriezenbroek (footpath 24, footpath 23) after which it went to Hofstade -middendam Blosodomein-.
The E19 also cut it in 1971.
Years later, the GR128 was moved via the Schumanlaan to Hofstade. This turned out to be a dangerous and bad choice for a GR !
Years later, the GR128 was rebuilt again by going away from the historic Zennemeanders in Eppegem in the direction of Rubens Castle and under the E19 in the direction of Elewijt. Since then, the GR128 has been running along several asphalted residential areas, which is not the intention in fiete.
