The Helleketelbos is a nature reserve of 56 hectares located in Abele, which belongs to the West Flanders municipality of Poperinge. It is a Natura 2000 area.
It consists of a mixed deciduous forest managed by the Agency for Nature and Forest. In the forest, one can find the Valley of the Bommelaarsbeek. There are also coppice stands. The Bohemerbos is part of the forest edge where, until the 1950s, trailer residents camped, helping with the harvest of the widely cultivated hops here. Another cultural historical peculiarity is the half-timbered house, a remnant of the large half-timbered farm Het Groot Gasthuisgoed.
