The city hall is a much-discussed building in Ghent with supporters and opponents. Even UNESCO had issues with it. UNESCO reports that "... the city hall significantly alters the view of the belfry, which is protected as a World Heritage site...". According to them, the city council should have made contact first before it started building... The locals refer to the city hall as the sheep pen.
