Facing stone on the Orangery of 1780.
Alfred Orban-Vanvolxem made renovations here around 1893.
Orban also had the French Garden between the Castle and the 0ranjerie drawn and installed. As a result, this domain is referred to in the French volsmond as 'the park of Orban'.
In the Dutch-speaking vernacular, however, this domain is more called the 'Paolapark', because the former Orangery was invariably called 'the Paola Pavilion' with the beautiful alliteration.
The name 'Drie Fonteinen' seems to come from three fountains that were planned in the low part of the ponds at the level of the former lock of the Brussels-Willebroek canal (now the Sea Canal because of its direct connection to the Scheldt in Wintam).
