Before the 15th century, the excavation of marl blocks from the subsoil had already started here. The stones were used for the construction of local churches and castles. The result is an impressive underground system of corridors and caves spanning more than 300 km. An exhibition of block worker materials shows you how the blocks were brought up. Wall paintings of prehistoric animals adorn the walls. In the underground mushroom farm, you will learn about mushroom cultivation and get acquainted with the storage of Cave beer.
