In Oudenburg the Romans built the only Belgian coastal castellum, which makes the place one of the oldest sites in our country! The Roman Archaeological Museum (RAM) will introduce you thoroughly to this castellum and its inhabitants through reconstructions, models, computer simulations and archaeological finds. There is also a landscaped garden where you can try roman games.
In addition, there is also the Sint-Arnoldus Visitor Centre and St. Peter's Abbey, where you can discover the history of the former abbey site.
