The Vagevuurbos domain, covering an area of 220 hectares, together with the nearby Lippensgoed-Bulskampveld, forms the largest forest complex in West Flanders. This green carpet of oxygen stretches across the municipalities of Beernem, Hertsberge, and Wingene. Contrary to what the somewhat ominous name might suggest, this forest domain is a true earthly paradise for fauna and flora. This forest also runs alongside the beloved Wildenburg walking route.
