Did you know that restaurant 't Patijntje was already a well-known place at the beginning of the 20th century? During World War I, it was visited by numerous German soldiers and Flemish "deernen." The restaurant also had an intimate furnished room that was regularly used by Lieutenant Kurt Wettstein to engage in romantic activities there.
