Wist je dat restaurant 't Patijntje reeds een gekende plek was aan het begin van de 20ste eeuw. Tijdens WO I werd dit door tal van Duitse soldaten en Vlaamse "deernen" bezocht. Het restaurant had toen ook een intiem gemeubeld kamertje dat regelmatig werd gebruikt door luitenant Kurt Wettstein om zich aldaar met de liefde bezig te houden.
