Cemetery of Wulvergem

The Cemetery of Wulvergem is a municipal burial site in the Belgian village of Wulvergem. The cemetery is located in the village center around the Saint-Machutus Church.
In the cemetery, there are 38 British military graves of fallen soldiers from the First World War, including 6 unidentified. They are all British who died between April 30, 1914, and April 7, 1915. All the graves are located along the south side of the church, but two unidentified victims are separate from the others. The graves are maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Special Memorials were erected for 6 deceased because their graves were destroyed by artillery fire and could not be recovered. During this shelling, the church was completely destroyed but was rebuilt in 1925. The cemetery is registered with the CWGC under Wulvergem Churchyard.
