At the St. John's Hospital, which has over 8 centuries of history, pilgrims, travelers, and the sick were cared for by sisters and brothers. The medieval wards and the associated chapel house an impressive collection of archival pieces, artworks, medical instruments, and six works by Hans Memling. Also to visit: the Diksmuide attic, the old dormitory, and the adjacent guardians' room and pharmacy.
