La Levée is a great alternative to the monotonous Ancienne Barrière, sharing only the final stretch with it. The climb begins just slightly northeast of Chevron in the Liennedal, at the turnoff towards Rahier. The beauty of the valley here immediately stands out. In complete tranquility, you can steadily climb upwards. At the first house, you turn right. Officially prohibited to drive in. The asphalt is of moderate quality, but the road wonderfully winds through forests and along the edge of meadows upward.
Upon reaching the hamlet of Froidville, you follow the larger road to the right. From here, the road continues in a straight line, gently climbing along the edge of the hill. This results in a fantastic view of the hilly landscape. Upon reaching the T-junction, keep left towards Trois-Ponts. These are the last 2 kilometers of the climb to l'Ancienne Barrière.
