The Saint-Laurentius Abbey was a Benedictine abbey in Liège, located on Rue Saint-Laurent. The abbey was situated in a strategic location near the city and therefore regularly suffered from the violence of war. The abbey was abolished during the French period and the abbey church was demolished. What remained of the monastic buildings was converted into a military hospital and barracks.
