The Col du Rosier is a climb located south of Spa in the Walloon Ardennes. The climb from the south is almost always part of the cycling classic Liège-Bastogne-Liège. It is a long slope of 4.5 km that is especially steep at the beginning.
The Col du Rosier is known for the Rosier test. This refers to the climb from Spa. This covers a distance of 5.6 km with an average gradient of more than 5%. The time recorded for the climb at the beginning and end of a day of vigorous cycling proves to be a good measure for ranking in a Cyclosportive.
