Manneken Pis is a statue of a urinating boy in the center of Brussels. The 55.5 cm tall little boy on a pedestal is located at the corner of Stoofstraat and Eikstraat, not far from the Grand Place. The statue has become one of the most famous Belgian and Brussels monuments and a symbol/mascot of the city of Brussels. Besides the Manneken Pis of Brussels, there are also ones in Geraardsbergen, Westmeerbeek, Broksele, and Koksijde, but the one in Brussels is the most well-known. It is a bronze creation by Hiëronymus Duquesnoy from 1619 (wikipedia, n.d.).
On the occasion of special days/events, Manneken Pis receives a special costume.
