Station Simonis is a railway station along line 28 (Schaarbeek - Brussels South) in the Brussels district of Koekelberg, and also a stop of the Brussels metro. The station is located under the Simonis Square, after which it was named. It was reopened on December 14, 2009, mainly as part of the Great Express Network (wikipedia, n.d.).
This square owes its name to the 19th century sculptor Eugène Simonis (1811-1882).
The S10 train connects the station with Aalst and Dendermonde. This connection is limited to 1 train per hour in both directions.
Additionally, one can use various lines at the adjacent metro station. The lines serving the station are: line 2: (Elisabeth/Simonis) and line 6: (Elisabeth/Koning Boudewijn).
Simonis is also served by tram line 9 (Simonis/Dikke Beuk) and tram line 19 (Groot-Bijgaarden/De Wand).
