The house of the Thielemans family of doctors can be found at Armand Devriesestraat 4 in 3061 Leefdaal. For centuries, the prestigious Hof van Schollenberg stood here, a fief of the village lord, which had an eventful history. Doctor Franz Thielemans built the current mansion around 1850 in pure Louis XVI or classicist style. All memories of the region's traditional style have disappeared. No more sharp and high roof, but a tent roof. The outbuildings with the coach house are typical of the time of the emerging bourgeoisie. After Franz Thielemans, his son Louis, also a physician, lived in the house. In their time, both were the great figures of the Philharmonic, the oldest music association in the region. One of Louis' brothers, Justin, was mayor of Leefdaal for many years.
The current owner, Count François de Liedekerke, had the building complex restored.
