Fort of second order, executed to complete the main defense line of the city and provided for by law of March 30, 1906. The intention was to protect the city of Antwerp against an artillery bombardment. Work began in 1908 and finished in 1914. Connected to the anti-tank moat in 1939. After the Second World War used by the demining service of the Belgian army and declassified by Regentsbesluit of 2 April 1947. The military government sold the fort in 1970 and today in use as a hunting ground.
