Viaduct van Vilvoorde

Under the Vilvoorde Viaduct, a number of stolen weapons were recovered at the request of Madani Bouhouche. These had been stolen during a curious weapons theft that took place on the night of December 31, 1981 to January 1, 1982. Despite proper surveillance, unknown persons from the then barracks of the Dyane Group in Etterbeek were able to break in and steal a number of sophisticated anti-terror weapons with associated ammunition. It has never been made clear whether the Nivelles gang got its hands on some of the stolen weapons and used them in its raids on department stores.
