The Brussels Aquarium is an old aquarium center located on Émile Bossaert Avenue in Koekelberg in the Brussels region. It was open from 2005 to 2018. Inaugurated in September 2005, the aquarium serves as a research and teaching tool thanks to an accurate reconstruction of aquatic environments. Mainly focused on an educational approach and raising awareness about biodiversity conservation, it does not showcase sensational species such as sharks.
